About

About

Alison Dorfman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Jungian Analyst. She completed her training at the C. G. Jung Institute in New York and maintains a private practice in Manhattan.

Since 2009, Alison has worked as a psychotherapist in New York City across a range of settings, including hospitals, schools, and community mental health clinics. A depth-oriented approach, along with her background in yoga and meditation, forms the foundation of her work. Psychological symptoms and emotional struggles are viewed not merely as problems to be solved, but as meaningful expressions of the psyche that illuminate the path toward healing, growth, and individuation. She works with people navigating depression or anxiety, healing from past trauma, or negotiating life transitions, as well as those seeking to cultivate a greater sense of wholeness and a deeper understanding of themselves.
